In 2021, Philips Domestic Appliances (DA) separated from its parent company Royal Philips and became an independent entity. Two years later, it rebranded as Versuni. As a new organization with its own culture and identity, Versuni needed a fitting and scalable onboarding method to represent its unique ethos and integrate new employees effectively.

Research Phase
A successful onboarding process starts with thorough research. We investigated the target audience, potential learning objectives, required content for the modules, and previously proposed ideas. We also reviewed Versuni’s requirements: the game needed to be scalable, engaging, and educational. With a clear understanding of all these needs, we developed a tailored solution: a custom online onboarding game and an interactive onboarding booklet. We employed the Agile methodology to bring our vision to life.
Onboarding Game and Booklet
The onboarding game immerses new hires in Versuni’s operations, work methods, mission, values, and culture. Once they complete the game, they can access the interactive booklet at any time for additional information about the company, its practices, and answers to further questions.
Results
The game proved not only to be enjoyable but also effectively scalable for employees worldwide. The combination of the game and the booklet ensures that new hires quickly become familiar with Versuni, are enthusiastic about their new roles, and are well-informed to contribute to the company’s ambitions.
